Figure Resolution Checker
Check image dimensions and effective print DPI.
Ready when you are.
Enter your values and select Calculate to see your result here.
Check the pixel dimensions of an image and calculate its effective resolution at a selected print width.
How it works
Method: Effective DPI = image width in pixels / printed width in inches; 1 inch = 25.4 mm.
Example: A 1,200-pixel-wide image printed at 100 mm is approximately 305 DPI. Check the target journal’s own figure specifications.
